There are VIP areas with couches but we were not VIP. The only major downside to the nightclub is that there is no seating. If you like dancing and drinking it's a great time. They also have an event hall that had entertainment but no one was performing there during our stay. It was still being renovated while we were there. They have recently opened their speakeasy, too, so that would be fun as well.

We had a great time there, although drinks were expensive (in my opinion). This portion of the building is elevated above boardwalk level by seemingly 20 floors. That's also where the outdoor jacuzzi is located. The indoor/outdoor pool took us forever to find (go straight through the spa entrance and just keep walking). There weren't so many kids that it was a problem though. It's mostly adults at the resort so the majority of kids we encountered were in the indoor/outdoor pool and jacuzzi area. Spa, nightclub, casino, food, drink, shops… it's all there. Ocean Resort is a great choice for an all-in-one resort. The amenities list for this resort is a mile long! We wanted a resort because we wanted the option to split up safely if we wanted to and so we wouldn't have to venture out into the unknown streets constantly. We had no complaints about location, it seemed to fit all our varied preferences. Uber seemed to have 'designated pick up spots' at our hotel and the Borgata, which was convenient since we didn't exactly know where to drop the pin on the map anyway.

We took a quick Uber ride to the Borgata for their Burlesque show (which was AMAZING) and the Uber trips were quick to arrive and got us to our destination and back safely. The nearest boardwalk shops were nothing special but once we got nearer to the Hard Rock area on the boardwalk the shops became more like what you expect from a boardwalk shop. However, we were right on the beach, with an ocean view, and the resort was on the boardwalk. We did not venture far beyond the resort so proximity to other attractions was not a priority for us. Overall, the total was within our budgets so we were happy, but if you're budget conscious consider a weeknight stay instead of the weekend.

Our stay was in mid-June and we booked about a month ahead of time. Wednesday and Thursday nights were less than $100 while Saturday night was nearly $400.
